Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC)

Helping the Scientific Community . . .

Maxxum installed a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) lab on Plum Island, NY. The BSL-3 lab installation will assist in PIADC’s global reach in animal disease study, prevention, and containment.

The work included:

Demolition of existing equipment
Reconfiguration of spaces, and the
Installation of laboratory support equipment, biological safety cabinet, HEPA filter system
Building Management System (BMS) integrations
Electrical, plumbing, security integrations
APR Door
Epoxy flooring
